What personal data we collect and why we collect it
While you visit our site, we’ll track:
- Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
- Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
- Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order.
We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.
When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:
- Send you information about your account and order
- Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Set up your account for our store
- Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
- Improve our store offerings
If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.
We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for 6 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.
Payment details entered are not stored by us and we have no access to details at any point. Payment information including card details or PayPal account information is entered directly on to the Woocommerce or PayPal merchant site, secured and monitored by Woocommerce or PayPal.
No other personal information is required, requested or collected.
Once your purchase has been completed, the data is stored on our secure server but not used to contact you again unless you request it. The server is password secured and only accessible by JB Survey Limited staff members. Passwords are changed every 6 months. Staff do not access data unless requested to do so by you.
If you do not purchase from us no information is collected.
Contact forms
If you use our contact form to get in touch, we will use the information provided on that form to contact you as requested. Once your request has been completed, the data is stored on our secure server but not used to contact you again unless you request it. The server is password secured and only accessible by JB Survey staff members. Passwords are changed every 6 months. Staff do not access data unless requested to do so by you.
If you do not use the contact form no information is collected.
Cookies
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you do not create an account no information is collected.

Who we share your data with
Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:
- Order information such as what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
- Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.
Our team members have access to this information to help fulfil orders, process refunds and support you.
JB Survey Ltd work with several third party companies in order to offer you the best service.
We work with PayPal and Woocommerce to process your order payments. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal and Woocommerce, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information. No data is collected or stored by JB Survey Limited for this purpose.
We work with Cardinal Commerce to secure your card payments using their 3D-Secure system . No data is collected or stored by JB Survey.
We work with APC and DHL to deliver your orders across the UK and Europe. We share only the contact information relevant to the delivery. This includes a contact name, phone number and/or email address and a delivery address. This will be provided by you at the point of order.
How long we retain your data
For users that register on our website, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
If you purchase from us, the data supplied will be stored on our server. The data must be held for a minimum of 6 years for accounting purposes.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Your data is held on a securely encrypted database within our private servers. Only members of JB Survey Limited staff have access to this, and only after signing in with individual passwords which are updated every 6 months. Our website is a secure site and we are verified by Trustwave.
What third parties we receive data from
We receive data from Google Analytics and Google Adwords about your visit to our site such as the pages you visited and how you found you our site. The data received is subject to anonymization before being processed and no personal information is shared.
